«One hudred and sixteen half-in-half» in the Red Army before the Great Patriotic war
There has been written a lot about the history of the Great Patriotic War, the reasons for the bitter defeats which the Red Army suffered at its initial period. The historians, journalists and sociologists think that one of the reasons of the Workers and Peasants’ Red Army failures was repressions of the Army’s command and political staff in 1937–1938.
In the present article the author, basing on the published materials, archival sources and other materials, analyses the scale of repressions of the Red Army officers’ staff in 1930-s.
