To know and correctly estimate the actual reserves of agricultural production
The author presents the results of research of trends in the economical development of agricultural production in one of the largest regions of Volga Federal District – the Republic of Tatarstan. The application of modern techniques of economic research, including the economic-mathematical modeling, made it possible not only to reveal and name, but to quantitatively estimate the underused resources of the Republic’s agricultural organizations.
